Recently we organized an incentive travel for a German management consulting firm to the hip Irish capital. Dublin, a town full of contrasts where you can find nice lounges and modern architecture next to historical buildings and pubs with a local flavour, offers great opportunities for planning a varied programme.
For the employees the contemporary design hotel at the Grand Canal was the ideal place to hold their meeting and to have an aperitif on the roof top bar. With view across the river Liffey the first day in Dublin was rounded off with a local three-course-menu and Guinness in one of the oldest breweries in the temple bar area, accompanied by Irish live music.
The next day we went to the brand-new whiskey distillery. Guided through the distillery, the employees were able to get an idea of the elaborate whiskey production. A premium whiskey tasting followed by a fine dining in a typical town palace were the perfect ending to a perfect day.
Before heading back to Germany the employees attended a guided walk on the breath-taking cliffs of the peninsula of Howth while enjoying fresh salmon and prosecco.
